If this topic has been covered in another thread, I sincerely apologize. But I'm just curious if anyone has any speculation about what makes the Royals special? I assume since Stefania did a blood test on Adalind to confirm the baby was of a royal bloodline, that there must be something about the Royals, other than the fact that they are manipulators on a grand scale.

I don't know, but I have been wondering the same thing. Are they even Wesen and if so what are they? The Captain only shows his, Hexenbiest(No idea how its spelled) side. If they aren't then why are the other Wesens afraid of them? Maybe they are something similar to the Grimms.

This is something I've been wondering as well. I was going to start a new thread, glad I found this one... The royals must be superhuman in some way. For one, Diana is half hexenbiest and half royal - just like renard - so why is she so powerful... what's special about Diana?? And Kenneth, who was killed off way too soon IMO, seemed to have crazy strength. What's up with that? Any theories on what the Royals are exactly?

This is the forum so we can guess. Royals were call blue bloods as they intermarried so much I think the test the Gypsy Queen use was nothing more than a test of genetic markers of royals blood. In and of themselves royals are pure human but not saying add a link to Diana case the royal blood the grimm blood and the way Adalind got her powers back made Diana what she is.

IMO, their power is that they are a Royal family in Austria. We haven't seen that they are anything but human
except for Sean whose father was the king and his mother was Elizabeth the hexenbiest, the king's mistress. This
makes Sean half human and half zauerbiest. However, the royals have the Verat who are wesen working for them
and doing their dirty work. If prince Eric had not been killed off (the actor may have had to leave Grimm for another
show as Kelly Burkhart did or some other reason) he could have been Diana's father also as Adalind slept with both
of them. So Sean became the dad by default. I don't recall a paternity test being taken. Stefania would have seen
royal blood from either one. Too bad Eric left the show. I thought he was pretty cool.
