The majority of humans in the modern age don’t know wesen exist how can they persecute what they don’t know, though at times when they did know about wesen in the past they persecuted them. There are countless stories on the show about hexenbiest being burnt at the stake by humans or the romans forcing wesen to fight in the arena, the Royals forcing wesen to obey them. The Royals still use the verat to imtimadate innocent wesen to this very day. Rosalee and Monroe have also said multiple times on the show that one of the reasons wesen hide their true identity from humans is out of fear of being persecuted as they were in the past.
Entire species of Wesen on the other hand are going around and persucuting and terroising innocent humans like taking teenegers organs and selling them on the black market or eating children or taking over Portland with a wesen nazi group. By the way where’s your proof Nick is persecuting wesen, the only wesen Nick and Trubel go after are pure scum and deserve what they get. Renard said the vast majority of violent crimes everywhere are committed by wesen so clearly grimms are needed.
Renard is half human by the way and he’s done plenty of persecuting of wesen, he’s forced them to fight to the death in the gladiator death club just so he can get payed his tribute by Leo Taymor or plotting the deaths of innocent wesen with BC.

All wesen need to do is watch how kehrseite treat other kehrseite they see as "different" to know that they're safer "passing."

I'm not doubting some members of wesen species are doing that anymore than there are evil humans out there. But I don't for one minute believe entire species of wesen are targeting humans anymore than I believe that entire populations of humans historically persecuted wesen.

According to Renard they are responsible for most crimes everywhere not just in Portland, Rosalee has mentioned numerous times that wesen were persecuted by humans in the past. . Did BC want to do away with grimms no they wanted to use them for thier own purposes but they did however want to persecute humans as revenge . Renard told Nick in season 5 that humans have ruled the world for too long now it’s the wesen turn .

1. How would Renard know anything about wesen crime outside of Portland?
2. You despise Renard's character so I don't know why you'd believe anything he'd say.
3. Rosalee is talking about the past, not the present.
4. You have no canon to support that whole populations of wesen are persecuting normal humans.
5. I don't believe in the current day setting of the series that wesen and humans don't get along. What we see on Grimm are the bad wesen, a very, very, very small percentage of the population.

Renard probably knows about wesen criminals in Portland. Especially in his precinct, seeing as he was on the take from some of them.
There were at least two occaisions I can recall offhand where ordinary wesen gathered at the spice shop because they feared something that might expose the existence of wesen, so whether wesen fear of human persecution was realistic or not, it was certainly there.

According to the show hitler and the nazis were all wesen in the shows history, only 70 years ago they persecuted both humans and wesen and BC were planning the same thing as Eve said in season 5 they were planning a world run entirely by wesen, that’s canon. Renards exact worlds to wu in season 4 were most crime everywhere is wesen related his exact words, what reason would he have to lie, that’s also canon. It’s just your opinion that grimms aren’t needed beacuse clearly on the show they are needed. Infact Monroe and Rosalee stated in season 4 that Nick needed to get his Grimm back, also bud was so desperate for a grimm in his life he reached out to Trubel for help. Rosalee also stated to Juliette in the jail cell in 4x17 they all agreed that Nick needed his Grimm back beacuse of the threats against Monroe and Rosalee by the Wesenrien. If as you said previously they didn’t need a a grimm why were they so helpless without one.

And there are paranoid humans too. What about fears regarding the year 2000 or belief that the Mayan calendar predicted the end of the world? A small number of wesen fearing exposure is just that. A small number and not representative of the entire wesen population.

That's not what I was talking about. My question was why was there a need for a grimm cop when a wesen cop has the same abilities. Not the same as Monroe and Rosalee looking to Nick to solve their problem.
