RE: Why Nick and Adalind clicked - irukandji - 12-27-2017

Nick had his choice of getting married and having children or being a grimm. He chose the grimm. He's not a marrying man.

RE: Why Nick and Adalind clicked - Henry of green - 12-27-2017

He is the marrying guy, the last I heard it was a mutual decision between Juliette and Nick for him to become a grimm and he clearly still wanted to marry Juliette after that , this really is a ridiculous argument. I am not joking Nick has brought up wanting to get married at least 10 times on the show.

RE: Why Nick and Adalind clicked - irukandji - 12-27-2017

Juliette agreed to be the ingredient. She can no more force Nick to be a grimm than you could. Nick's a big boy. He made the decision over marriage and children. He's not a marrying man. BTW, there is nothing wrong with that. For him, it's actually a very wise decision.

No they made the decision Juliette’s also a big girl.

He is the marrying man your are totally ignoring the show as usual it’s Juliette who is clearly not the marrying kind.

Just think about all of the problems a married Nick would have versus a single Nick. It's not about Juliette, henry. It's about Nick.

If everyone cared more about the problems of being married why would they bother to marry at all. Marriage isn't all problems and nothing else.

Nick was about sacrifice the whole world over his loved ones. It was his mother and aunt who talked him down (Trubel had failed) from putting his love and need for his family (and friends) over being a Grimm. So clearly Nick didn't always put being a Grimm above everything else. His family was important to him, with Adalind he got to have both without compromise. Unfortunately with Juliette, it was like being forced to choose and no amount of denial/revisionist rhetoric changes that both Nick AND Juliette (much to her dislike) chose the Grimm. It wasn't Nick alone who made that decision. Juliette made her choice as well.

So we're going to compare everyone else to Nick now?

RE: Why Nick and Adalind clicked - rpmaluki - 12-27-2017

You're ignoring/dismissing Henry's posts showing Nick's desire for marriage over a couple of seasons. Your statements about this particular topic aren't based on the actual show. So I expanded the topic beyond Nick since you're the one not sticking with what actually happened on the show by your statements.

I don't see where Nick desired marriage all that greatly. I recall him talking about it with Hank, but during the same conversation, greatly expressed the desire to be a grimm. Because he placed marriage and children at the opposite end from being a grimm in his immediate world, I believe he considered that if he accepted one way of life, the other was out of the question.

Does this sound like a guy that doesn’t want to get married scripts below.

Hank and Nick the pilot

Oh, well, I am getting married once, not four times.
Oh, you're a "happily ever after" guy? Yeah.

Nick is willing to get married as soon as possible Juliette’s not script prove from 1x16

NICK: Okay, look, I know that this weekend didn't turn out the way I planned.
And, uh, I think the thing of it is, you kind of have to make your own perfect moments.
So Juliette, will you be my wife? I can't.

Irk, you really do crack me up Nick desperately pleaded with Juliette to marry him and Juliette rejected him more than once and yet he’s the one who doesn’t want married seriously.
