Speculations are the Dixon is part of black claw.
Consider Micheal Sheets who plays Dixion is the same actor that played peter. Adalind's visitor that Hank beat up. Plus not much in future credits. I don't think he has much future. Unlike Anne Leighton who plays Rachel she is credited through episode 10. Even has a an actors page. Looks like Dixon was only there to introduce Rachel.
This makes Rachel a distraction, my question is from what. The political angel seems to be a red haring.

Now that we seen Dixon shot question come up was Renard the target or Dixon. Could the guy he was running against be BC because we know now that he was dirty and BC wanted him elected? Could BC now see that he has no chance to get elected so take out Dixon and put in Renard because he has play ball in the past?
Which is the BC link the woman she did take a call just before the shot or was that a misdirect and the campaign manager the BC member?

I think the campaign manager is BC. Sasha said we will be surprised when it is revealed about Rachael. I don't think her being BC would be a surprise. Then maybe Sasha doesn't know how to tease. I can't imagine the interviews where not scripted by the writers or at least the spoilers on what and how to phrase the information.
