Wesen Sports - Elkhound - 12-17-2014
Three questions:
1. Are there special Wesen Sports, or all-Wesen leagues for 'mundane' sports? (Yes, we saw the underground Lowen fight club, but that doesn't really count.)
2. Which Wesen do you think would be particularly good at a particular sport, and why?
3. What famous athletes do you think might be Wesen? What kind? Why? (Tiger woods as a Ziegvolk? Mike Tyson as a Dickfellen? Babe Dierkson as a Hexenbeast? etc.)

1. I don't remember seeing any typical/mundane sporting events except the Lowen fight club and boxing.
2. Siegbarste/Ogres would be great at the caber toss and those he-man types of sporting events. Eisbiebers would be great at the chainsaw "king of the trees" types of events.
3. Derek Jeter is a Fuchsbau the way he hopped on the balls like a fox on a mouse. Mike Ditka was a Jägerbar because he IS and always will be one of Da Bears. Lance Armstrong is a Scharfblicke because he looked for loopholes to get the win and because he was sharpsighted enough to get away with it for so long. Charles Barkley was a Dickfellig. Mohammed Ali was a Mellifer because he did sting like a bee. Michael Jordan was a Fuchsteufelwild because of the leaping ability.

Fun topic.
l. Naiads would excel at all swimming events.
2. Mellifers would also make good team players, especially at football, where they would huddle to communicate strategy (the Queen Bee would be the captain, of course!)
3. One of my favorite wesen is the Steinadler because of Farley Kolt, but since I don't know much about sports, can't think of any contemporary competition with which to associate them. But because they can be noble, maybe the art of falconry that was practiced by the nobility during the Middle Ages. Kinda lame.
4. For a little comic relief, suggest Mauzhertz for no-holds-barred kickboxing and Bauerschwein for mud-wrestling.
5. How about "Magic" Johnson as a hexenbiest (zauberbiest)?
