She could have aborted or given Kelly to Nick or adoption at any time and she really is spending the time to be a better mother.
So Kenneth was going to tell Juliette that the baby Adalind was carrying was Nicks. Adalind had the protection of the King he said so just before he brought in Kenneth. The King even said he did not agree with Viktor putting her in the dungeon.
Adalind was worried about Juliette killing her. Kenneth said no one was going to kill her unless she keep yelling. No reason was given for Adalind to run away from the royals. The only reason would be she choose her unborn child over Diana. If she had of thought for a minute her having Nick's child would be an asset for the Royal family. Having control of Nick's child they would have control of the Grimm.
Instead Adalind put her self interest first and was only concerned about the immediate danger of Juliette trying to kill her.
Adalind was asked if they would protect her from Juliette and the answer is no. Ken wanted to use Juliette's hate for Adalind to get Diana not protect Adalind and her unborn baby. Sean is even encouraging Juliette to kill Adalind by telling her the hotel that Adalind is staying at.
If she stayed with the royals so they could use her new baby against the grimm that would have been complete self interest but the royals could have dumped Kelly.

"Iron Hans"
Adalind asks if anyone actually cares what she thinks, and he tells her no. Kenneth then tells her that Juliette got arrested after attacking people at a bar, and Adalind says that means she is starting to accept becoming a Hexenbiest. Kenneth says this could be the opportunity they've been looking for since Juliette knows all about Nick, including his mother, and therefore where Diana could be. Adalind says there is no way that Juliette would betray Nick, and Kenneth says, "It's surprising how quickly betrayal becomes a viable option, given the right circumstances." Adalind asks which right circumstances, and Kenneth tells her that he knows the father of her unborn baby is Nick. Kenneth asks what will Juliette do when she finds out that she and Nick are having a love child, and Adalind says, "You wouldn't." Kenneth responds, "Given the right circumstances." Adalind says she is the mother of the child he wants, but Kenneth replies, "It's surprising how quickly betrayal becomes a viable option," and leaves.

Juliette asks what happened to him, and he tells her he met the new Prince in town. Juliette asks if Adalind is with him because she wants to kill her, and Renard says that's a good idea.
Adalind talks with Kenneth about the falling gargoyle and tells him that she knows it wasn't an accident because she saw Juliette across the street. Adalind tells him that he needs to kill Juliette before Juliette kills her. Kenneth notes that Juliette helped Kelly take Diana, so she may know how to get in touch with her. He also says there's no telling how her relationship with Nick has been affected now that she's a Hexenbiest, guessing that it has probably been a detriment. Kenneth tells Adalind that Juliette probably blames her for what happened, which is why she is coming after her, and that this may work to their advantage.
