Again that is a difference between a young couple with no children and a couple with children. When I go out with to family restaurants I do not see as much kissing as elsewhere.

Adalind had Rosalee watch kelly so she could go meet Sean. A baby sitter was never an issue. Nick just never made an effort to be romantic with Adalind.
The first time Rosalee watched Kelly soon after afterwards Adalind was at the BC mansion for 6 shows. The babysitter was an issue but both Nick and Adalind tended to hid the kids which hurt their relationship by not dating.

Yes, I agree with you in season 5, Nick underappreciated Adalind and never dated her which leads to Adalind not believing Nick believe her about her loving him. She brought it up in the note which she left him in season 5. Nick told Trubel about the note talking about Adalind's feelings for him but not Rosalee or Monroe. In season 6, Nick does try to pay more attention to her and does take her out in 607.

The other is a Grimm that is a detective. Does not give Adalind many if any dating options. Any guy she brings into her life would have these two to worry about.
Adalind has not shown any interest in dating anyone other than Nick since she told Nick she was having his son in season 4. If Sean did not have access to Diana, I believe she never would have left Nick even though he was treating her poorly in season 5.

Nick spent time at the hospital just sitting in a chair while Adalind was sleeping there with baby Kelly. Again, for good reason both of them are extremely safety minded but that hurt their relationship not dating.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
