Would this have to do with Juliette and Nick. It is around seven years of a relation where one side seeks and alternative.
Embrace your inner Biest..... We all have one

Good gosh, I wretch at the thought of those two as anything to one another again. They have to be the only couple knocking uglies in real life who have zero on-screen chemistry. I have seen Galapagos tortoises that seemed like more passionate couples.
Oxford commas are so totally rad!.

I disagree, but that isn't the point here. Even if Nick never hooks up with Juliette/Eve again, she still needs to make amends for getting his mom killed. (Not to mention his neighbors.) Otherwise, they might as well lock all of the characters away in jail for the series finale. (09-08-2016, 07:11 PM)Hexenadler Wrote: I disagree, but that isn't the point here. It is just when I hear of the 7 year itch in the context of a couple I think of an extra curricular fling or trying to get away due to the novelty rubbing off and the mundaneness of life interfering with the quality of the relationship.. My point being I cannot imagine what the attraction would be here for either party, especially Nick. Just how do you make amends for getting a guy's mother murdered? Oh and as a guy do you really want to kiss the woman who wanted to murder your son in the womb and said no child of her's could ever be innocent? Thus referencing your son? How exactly could that ever work? The best I can see is as follows: Juliette/Eve: Nick, I know mere words can never repair the damage I have done, and no actions on my part can ever make amends for what i did. But I want you to know, if I could I would take it all back. I am truly sorry for what I did, and I know you can't forgive what I have done and you can never forget it. I just hope, we can part amicably, you knowing I am truly sorry for what I did, and maybe on that last day, you can just remember the good that once was between us. I really am sorry Nick. I want you to have a great life Nick. I hope you find that special someone and live the life you deserve. Goodbye Nick. That is the best scenario I can come up with given where the characters are presently at. How would you have her make amends? I actually like the idea of them locking up all the characters in ail in the finale. That would be the bold, proper, and sophisticated thing to do.

I'd prefer a story where Nick and Juliette are forced to team up against a series-ending baddie instead of a speech, but that's just me.

definition : 7 year itch
The seven-year itch The seven-year itch is a psychological term that suggests that happiness in a relationship declines after around year seven of a marriage. The phrase originated as a name for irritating and contagious skin complaints of a long duration. who has been together 7 years???????
Could it refer to Nick's life as a Grimm? How long as he been one, disregard the few short weeks (months?) he was powerless. He's been content this whole time with being a Grimm, even when he wasn't he missed it, so maybe this is about that. Perhaps he finally ponders his life sans his genetic predisposition to hunt wesen and such.

Nick and Juliette are thrust into a situation where only a combination of their powers - a Grimm's and a Hexenbiest's - can overcome a seemingly all-powerful antagonist. That's way more dramatic than a monologue. It doesn't make up for getting Kelly killed - nothing ever will - but for Juliette, it would be a start. |
