Correct, Nick has never shown that he objected to Juliette being inquisitive IMO since they do not have children. Adalind does inquire and he avoids answering and she is okay with that. When Nick came back from Germany, Adalind did ask about what he found and he lied and said he found nothing and Adalind did not push it.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
