Hmmmm...I just had a thought, I would really like to see come to fruition.
Hank gets bit despondent and withdrawn form Nick and Wu...a few episodes later Hank pulls Nick aside and tells him:
Look Nick I can't do this anymore. I became a cop because I really believed in it, the rule of law, what we were suppose to stand for, being color blind, justice for all. And here I am, vigilante justice, one set of rules for wesen, another set of rules for everyone else. As bad as Jim Crow laws were, what we are doing is way worse. I have been turning my back on all I really believe in. Look Nick I love you like a brother, but I can't do this anymore. I am in turning in my badge. I hope you understand, I won't sell you out, I owe you that, but I can't do this anymore; you and I are through. Goodbye Nick.
I think this would be an excellent way of addressing several important underlying issues.
