I don't like this. I don't want anybody to die! However if someone is going to die it would probably be Adalind.

If Adalind were to bite the dust, Juliette could easily become her replacement (assuming the showrunners are serious about going down "a dark path" with her character). But I hope she and Nick continue to have a romance going, despite of everything. A hero and a villain who are still in love with another is a fascinating concept, and one that isn't explored enough.

They give him NO life outside of serving the main white character. He has no relationship with the opposite sex. He has no discernible outside interests, wants or needs. So sure...he is the character to kill off. The black guy is always first to die. Hank was much more interesting (as was Wu) when they didn't know about the Wesen world. This is why I think the human characters have taken such a hard hit lately, esp with Juliette becoming a Hexenbiest. I still think a major development opportunity for both Hank and Wu is to develop Wesen profiles, perhaps work on cold cases themselves and only bring in the Scooby gang to make confirmations, etc. This would be a great way to free up Nick to pursue the Royal/Keys/Resistance/Diana story line. In other words, the WoW could go to a 2-episode format with Hank and Wu having a larger part while the overall story arc could be thoughtfully moved forward at a more convincing pace. Hank is an action guy; no way in r/l would this type of guy sit around and be the side kick to the less experienced cop. He's also been married four times, and is totally a babe magnet. Where are the ladies and social life, Grimm writers? Wu is great at doing research, analysis, and connecting the dots (so is Juliette for that matter). Together Hank and Wu would make a fantastic team (a 1-2 punch) to forward human interests and development and make the show hit another level. @babylon5fan I had to laugh...although it is kind of a true generality...at the mention of the black guy always being killed off. I really loved LL Cool J's part "Preacher" in that (really bad) movie Deep Blue Sea. Because he was a protagonist and the anti generalization and was there at the end. Pretty much the only saving grace about that movie was LL Cool J.

I don't want to lose any of the characters. Love the whole cast.

However, Limitless has only been brought on as a pilot so far (additional episodes have not yet been ordered) and MEM is on Grimm so rarely that it is possible that working on the two shows would not be a problem. 2 - Adalind. Personally, this is how I would like it to go--not because I dislike Claire Coffee, but because the writers have gone as far as they can (and perhaps too far) with this character. There is also a vocal desire from the fanbase to get rid of her and the showrunners have said they try to keep the fans happy. Frankly, Claire Coffee deserves better than Adalind. 3 - Wu or Hank. Of these, I think Hank may be slightly more likely. Let's face it, there are just too many people in the trailer right now and both of these could be lifted easily out of the story lines AND give Nick a reason to go "dark." Wu seems to be resonating a bit more with fans so, if it goes this way, my guess is that it could be Hank.

My wish is Juliette for reasons I have gone over in other threads. She is too Nick-Centric. However, i don't see this happening, they are too happy with themselves for creating Hexen-Juliette, IMO a failed experiment thus far.
I would write it this way: 1: Nick has to kill Juliette after she turns dark. Driving him to the dark side and an all out hunt for Adalind whom he could blame for Juliette's turn. 2: During the hunt Nick adopts an extremely violent course, turning the rest of the team against him along with the resistance. (the council would also be even more anti Nick) 3: While Roselle and Monroe along with Truble try and help Nick come to his senses, Renard, Hank and Wu feel he has gone to far and must be punished for his crimes and the Resistance and Council see him as a loose cannon to be put in the ground. This path would finally lead the show to a place where there would be more than two main forces at work... IE good v evil. Fans would then be in the position of choosing which of the three shades of grey to go with, or to go with Nick in his dark quest for revenge. My guess for what the gutless grimm writer will do is that they will off Hank or Adalind. The writers of grimm have failed so many times to be bold enough to make this show more than what it is. Both characters have been developed as far as they can go and could be removed in ways that would not alter things too much.

For instance, I could see both Adalind and Viktor as expendable at this point but would those be considered major-characters? I could see Wu dying considering he just recently learned about wesen and still isn't completely caught up on everything he should know. The other two characters I could see dying would be Kelly or Trubel. They recently said that they were bringing both back at the end of Season 4 so either one is fair game. Kelly would be tough to kill off because she's such an experienced fighter but I could also see them killing her off and her death setting Nick off on a deadly rampage for redemption which would be pretty cool. Trubel although I hate to say it serves no purpose now that Nick has his powers back. I absolutely loved her when she was on the show and was ecstatic when I heard she was coming back but again she's inexperienced and has gotten herself into trubel before. |
