I wasn't too impressed with either major plotline this week...
Adalind: I don't understand why they didn't just let Adalind in on the secret. Obviously, she's not going to rest until she gets her baby back...so that means, what, they expected her to go after the Royals? And get herself killed? Even if she doesn't like it, I think it might be easier for her to accept that her baby is safe, with a friend, who will protect her from the Royals better than Adalind could herself. She's enough of a pragmatist to know that it was the only way to keep Diana safe, that as long as she had her they'd always be on the run. And then she could still visit, perhaps, from time to time, or at least get updates from Nick's mom.
New Girl: First off, why does she look like the lost Breakfast Club member? Could they get any more stereotypical 80s-90s bad-girl gothy look? Second...she killed THREE PEOPLE. That we know of. And its not like she even knew she was a Grimm, where the killings are done for a reason. Nick, doesn't that mean anything to you as a cop? No, because they were Wesen, so its OK - she just needs him to take her under his wing, obviously.
Its all just a little too tropey for me right now, though hopefully they'll give it some more dimensionality in the future. I did like that she kept her shades on, so the Wesen mugger in the park didn't realize she was a Grimm when she woged. I'm wondering how exactly Nick is going to explain his ever-burgeoning group of civilian accomplices - Monroe, Juliette, Rosalie, and now Lil Sis Grimm. Its not exactly how police are supposed to operate...
Wesen-stuff doesnt come out until around puberty, remember? Nick's Grimmitude didn't emerge until around the first episode, and he was a full-grown man by then. And Diana is unusual in that her Hexenbiestery is already active, because of the ritual Adalind went through while pregnant (shades of Alia Atreides, no?)
I'm guessing that her self-perceived psychosis is something only a couple years old, which combined with the usual teenage adjustment issues is probably what drove her to be a runaway like she was.

This girl has probably had a lifetime of "seeing things", so it follows that she won't hope right onto the train to Normalville. Interesting, though, that most folks here seem to have taken a shine to Trubel. I certainly like her.
