You also indicated that Adalind was influenced by her mother, Renard, etc., and it was her surroundings that shaped her. If this is correct, then Adalind is blaming others and her surroundings for her behavior.
That indicates a similar behavior between the two women. I'm wondering if perhaps it's something that's indicative of the hexenbiest spirit.
It is reasonable to argue that Juliette’s hate for Nick and the gang (which originates from her becoming a hexenbiest) was stimulated further by Kenneth, and that Adalind’s actions was influenced by her surroundings. Of course, they have both their motives and scapegoats. Again, a hexenbiest appeared to be very concerned with power and status, which made them vulnerable to pressure from their surroundings.
