I'm not arguing she's changed, henry. That is apparent. But my question is, what is the depth of her change? I remember Adalind making what I would call a vow at her mother's graveside. I don't recall the exact words, but her vow was not about Nick. It was about her children.
What I see in the below posts is G&K once again glorifying her relationship with Nick. What happened to the kids? She loves Nick, fine and great but that isn't the great epiphany of change in the character. After little Kelly was born, the series actually a good job (not great), but good of showing Adalind tending to her baby. But then, as Nick grew more important to her, Kelly became the little bundle in the room somewhere. Usually in a carseat, no less.
Diana fared a little better but then that's because she could think and move around on her own. Plus she had a relationship with her father.
Falling in love isn't always the great epiphany, henry. Women don't suddenly gain insight. It's great that Adalind loves Nick, but her vow at a graveside was not to pledge ongoing, complete, and total love to Nick. Her vow was to her kids. That's where the disconnect is in my opinion.
By the way, why do you think G&K would have to rehash what is apparent to fans? Why would they have to bring up the rape? Do you think these are mere publicity stunts to keep the Grimmaniacs (I hate that term, by the way) going?
