Show me some evidence that Adalind had any other way to take Nicks powers or wasn’t doing it solely to see Diania again. The quickest way to answer you is Adalind does not exist. The writers wrote that dialogue for a reason and it had noting to do with trying to prove a point. I understand you may be invested in the character. But my question was to get speculative feed back on why the writers wrote it that way. What where they trying to do. Where did they want us to go.
Like is said I looked like they where trying to add even more reasons that helped explain the adversarial conflict between Adalind and Juliette.
That’s not the quickest way to answer my question it’s an excuse we all know she is a fictional character, but the writers made her motivations clear for taking Nick powers it was about Diania anything else is speculation the scripts prove it. Your are making it out to be ambiguous when it’s really not.
I like Adalind a lot yes but I don’t make excuses for her she was a horrible bitch for 3 years and put innocent Juliette in a comma and tried to kill aunt Marie plus planned to sell Diania, though I also don’t make her out to be worse than she was either. Also what she did in order to try and get Diania back was deeply wrong and have no problem saying it was sexual assault, but you also have to remember she was simply doing what she thought she had to do to see Diania again. Plus I also consider what Nick did to Adalind in season 1 another form of sexual assault.
below is your original reply to me
Me- Adalind took Nicks powers beacuse she wanted Diania back plain and simple,

You replying- There is a problem with that statement. Yes victor told her take Nick powers and she could see Diana. Problem is Victor did not have Diana. Even though the character thought he did. It becomes a false statement to argue in the definitive when we know it is a misleading fact.
You also have a problem with the statement because nothing proves that she had to sleep with Nick to take his powers. We have no logical reason for the writers to use that method. From a story stand point It drives the story arc of the eventual breakup and Juliette's animosity towards Adalind.
You are wrong this statement from Viktor proves Viktor Knew Adalind had to sleep with Nick.
Viktor- Ha! I do wish I could have seen the look on Mr.
Burkhardt's face when he realized he'd slept with you.
Viktor- How was it, by the way? I did what I had to do.
Adalind- I did it for my baby.
It wasn't fun.
Adalind telling Viktor she only did what she did to Nick for Diania.
As you can also see in the above script Viktor had already known what Adalind had to do to get Nicks powers was to sleep with him as his first words to Adalind are , ha I do wish I’d seen the look on Burkhardt face when he realized he’d slept with you and that’s is before Adalind confirmed why she slept with him by saying I did it for my baby.
Yes the writers my have been using Adalind sleeping Nick as a way of drumming up conflict between Juliette and Adalind, but I doubt Juliette and Adalinds conflict in season 4 was that well planned out in advance of season 4 considering the writers admitted they usually only thought about the show one season at a time and very rarely thougth things out in advance. But maybe they also just thought it was an interesting way to drive further conflict between Nick and Juliette during the season 3 finale.
