But thinking better and considering all the show, all characters had something better than Nick.
Sean had the plan skill. Monroe knows the wesen world. Rosalle knows potions. Adekaind knows hexanbiest craft. Even Juliette was smarter than Nick because she was able to trick him when she became hexanbiest and Nick didn't realize Juliette was betraing his mother.
But Ihave to say that Nick was the smartest character in my opinion simple because he was able to overcame his own limitations using his friends capabilities.
Nick used Monroe and Rosalee k nowlodge of the wesen world. Nick used Sean planing skills when they worked together. Nick also uses Juliette skills before and after she became hexanbiest.
What I see is that Nick didn't need to be the best because he was able to make friends and aliances. With his aliances, he was able to have a group where one complete each other skills.

I think that actually establishes Nick as a great leader, charismatic enough to inspire a group of followers/friends to do his bidding, and also knows how to delegate and utilise the skills of his friends/Renard in order to achieve his task.
Sorry, i just wanted to add, imo I think Monroe is the smartest character, not necessarily because he is the most wise, cunning or devious, but because he has a great memory and a vast knowledge of the wesen world and history. I think he shares the same passion for books, as well as similar intellectual capabilities, as his Uncle Felix.
You know, this is interesting to me because Nick is just blah when it comes to charismatic in my opinion. However, I can see where others come up with that because he attracted Monroe, Rosalee, and Bud to his circle. Not only that, they were willing to go the distance for him, for example with the kidnapping of Diana. So what was it that makes him charismatic?
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
