To me, Adalind's actions do not demonstrate hate. In point of fact, I'm not sure why she hates Sean to begin with. Maybe I'm dense here, but I haven't seen anything he's done to warrant her hate. Plus, when she's alone with Nick, she doesn't vent to him the reason for her hate.
I'm not of the opinion that parents should voice their hate of each other in front of one another.
Let's put aside whether Adalind hates Renard or not and think of reasons why she would hate him.
1) Tossing her aside when she lost her Hexenbiest combined with the double whammy of her mother doing the same. He also had relations with her mother while he was stringing her along to do his dirty work.
2) Gave Diana over to Kelly and made her think the Royals had taken her. She clearly believed that he wasn't willing to protect Diana because she said as much. Holds him more responsible than Nick and the crew because he's Diana's father and it couldn't be done without his blessing.
3) Was threatened to leave Nick and she and her children were forced to be Renard's accessories in his mayoral campaign and eventual election. The safety of her children were clearly threatened if she doesn't play her part. It was without a doubt a highly abusive relationship that Renard played along with because it benefited him.
4) Framed Nick and was targeting him for death with the full force of the Portland Police Department.
