No, he did not. IMO if Adalind do not lie for him he might have only needed to spend a lot of money on legal fees since he still had BC help. IMO Nick was trying to save his life and his friends so I do not see it the same way.

Sean was only trying to save money and Nick was trying save his life and others.
It doesn't make Nick any better than Sean, Mary. It only makes him self-centered.
IMO saving friends of both Nick and Adalind is not self-centered. Other posters say that Adalind does not take enough risk for Nick.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
