If it did she would absolve both or blame both.Quote:But one big difference in Renard and Nick, for Adalind, is that one kept his child with him despite the circumstances while the other gave his child away because of the circumstances. I think if Adalind could believe that Renard would now protect, and love, both her children she might stay with him by choice.Nick helped Kelly take Diana because of Adalind's actions Nick was now in danger. Had Adalind not caused the problem in Vienna Nick would not be in danger. With Sean he had the reason of telling Adalind "You sold our daughter, why should I trust you". But in the show that argument has never even been brought up which I find odd. Maybe the idea of selling your child was more then they wanted to run with.
The only defining difference for Adalind is that one actively parents his child and the other relinquished that responsibility. Again, I am not referring to any mitigating circumstances that you believe influenced either man’s actions. If Adalind believed there were mitigating circumstances she wouldn’t absolve one and blame the other.

And Sean wasn't missing Adalind in his life one bit until Black Claw told him that he needed a wife and child to get elected mayor. Without Sean's ambitions and Diana's efforts, we'd be watching a remake of War of the Roses.I don’t think so either, but would she feel that way if she wasn’t playing house with Nick? For now, I think Adalind is holding onto hope that she’ll get back to Nick with both her children, and Nick will welcome her and Diana with open arms.
I believe Adalind wants to be a good mother to her children, but I don't think Adalind has broken her pattern of aligning with whoever is providing for/protecting her at a given time. So if Nick wasn't welcoming, she might redirect her alliance to Renard.
