I think Sean never forgot the after effects of the sleeping beauty spell. Since then, he's harboured "feeling" for Juliette and now here she was turning to him for help/comfort/solace or whatever and she was a hexenbiest, 100x much more attractive/irresistible (as we saw when Nick questioned him about it with Adalind). He stayed away from Juliette because she was with Nick, I think he respected her wants more than he did Nick's. When she came to him willingly, Sean gave in to his baser nature in that moment, he's his father's son after all, hexenbiest are way too sexy, the more powerful the better. He couldn't even think straight when Diana was manipulating him with Adalind, he honestly thought she'd melt back into his arms, how much of that was Diana's doing and not him now that Adalind had regained her powers?
