("Silence of the Slams") ("Lycanthropia") Nick asks why he'd be telling her this now and she tells him, "I don't know. I think he's gonna use Diana to get to me for some reason." Nick then informs her that they think that Renard is working with Black Claw, but Renard doesn't know that they know. He then tells Adalind that if she hears from Renard again, to let him know.Think about the implications of their exchange. Adalind is telling Nick she fears Renard will use her and Diana for something. Nick responds that HW believes Renard is working with BC, and she should inform him of further contact. The conversation ends with Nick rolling over to go back to sleep.
I infer:
Nick is concerned about keeping HW informed of Renard’s activity. Nick is not concerned about Diana’s well being or Adalind’s need to get her daughter back and keep her safe.
What do you infer from this exchange? What should Adalind have inferred?
Nick's priority was protecting against BC and not getting her daugher back. That does not mean if opportunity came up to get Diana Nick would have not taken it. IMO Nick was not willing to risk Adalind or Kelly to get Diana back.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
