I will be blunt, burning down the trailer was just as bad as Juliette setting Kelly and the neighbors up to be slaughtered. Why? We watched a bewildered Nick looking through all of the crazy stuff in Marie's trailer in shock and awe that he was NOT going crazy after seeing wesens for the first time. Grimm took their fans on a ride as we watched Nick sit in that trailer for FOUR years and read up on the "wesen of the week" before going out and trying to do his job as a cop. The trailer (for me) was like going to the library and meandering through the stacks reading the book titles until something catches my eye. The show clearly did NOT think about the repercussions in burning down the trailer, otherwise, why try to retcon the books by having Monroe's Uncle Felix bring another set to town?!
I already hate dead eye Juliette and what she did toward the end of s4 after willingly helping Team Scooby for almost two years, made me wish the show had left the character, dead.
Kelly flat out told Nick to treat the trailer contents with respect as they were part of the family's legacy, and that idiot agreed. Nick to be blunt was a massive idiot that should have known Juliette was up to something when they saw her at the trailer reading up on Hexenbiests.

Somewhere where no one would suspect. Nick should have been smart enough to know that.
This is something I hadn't thought of and you are absolutely right. This says it all right there about Nick. If he had valued the heirlooms to the extent that they should have been valued, no one would have known where they were. Big, big mistake on his part.

Hi Iruk,
I am replying to the above part of your post #16. Nick told Juliette about the trailer because he trusted her. She was living with him, claimed to love him and wanted to marry him "someday." Nick made several blunders with Juliette. First, he should have taken Aunt Marie's advice and broken up with Juliette. Then the cat scratch memory loss and "affair" with Renard should have been goodbye. When she turned hexen and her hatred started to show he needed to send her away and make it nearly impossible for her to find him or the trailer. Yes huge blunders.
Hi New Guy-
I don't agree that Nick should have broken his relationship with Juliette just because Marie said so. All Marie gave was some vague warning. Anyone who'd destroy their relationship over that is crazy.
However, four years later, when things weren't good between then, Nick should have paid attention to the red flags. He choose not to and for a cop, that's a major blunder.
There have been numerous posts about how Juliette destroyed irreplaceable antiquities and should be put to death for doing so. But putting that aside for a moment, I want to focus on Nick. He never placed a high value on the heirlooms. He proved that revealing the location of the trailer and by not removing the heirlooms so that the antiquities were separate from the trailer. That was another huge blunder. An earlier post pointed out the not all of the heirlooms were from Nick's family. Some of them were from Josh's family. By failing to properly protect them, Nick violated Josh's trust in him as well.
In my opinion, the loss of the trailer was Nick's fault more than Juliette's.
