Been so busy with work & life in general I haven’t watched an episode since ‘Star Crossed’. Considering the link between the episode’s Wesen of the week and Black Claw, I thought the uprising arc was moving into full swing. But no. The only thing I’ve missed are the Wesen of the Week stories. A few online clips & reviews and I was caught up on the Black Claw arc & character development. The only information I didn't expect to learn was that at some point Adalind actively pursued not being like her mother. Wanting to know why & when that changed would be too much to ask, so I won't. Other than that, everything is pretty much just more of the same.
The keys no one knew much about and were hidden under the floorboards for four seasons have been traded for a stick & piece of cloth no one knows much about and have been hidden in a tunnel.
Meisner is MIA and it doesn’t affect the Black Claw arc in the least.
Black Claw begins infiltrating US government with a local election in Portland.
Team Grimm is as hypocritical & in love with themselves as ever.
Eve is looking out for Nick and threatening Adalind. Juliette calling herself Eve is as stupid as ever.
Nick’s fortress with it’s surveillance, alarms and triple dead bolts is useless against Eve.
Seventeen episodes in and Nick & Adalind don’t trust each other.
Lies are bad unless Team Grimm is telling them.
Renard showed his true self in early season one, and four seasons later, Nick has to be told Renard is a player.
Adalind is as gullible, dependant & lost as ever.
Adalind loses control and gives Renard the upper hand. Doesn’t push Renard for information on Diana.
Adalind doesn’t try to contact Meisner about Diana. Does ask Nick to inquire about Diana’s whereabouts, who checks a data base for an out of the country birth that was never recorded.
No one respects Adalind's basic rights as an individual - such as her right to privacy in her home.
Everyone has access to Diana except Adalind. Greenwalt & Kouf determined to make a bad plot choice better by making it worse.
Every plot could be derailed in one episode if the characters actually had a few meaningful conversations and Adalind had changed her name or a least stopped being a sock puppet.
