I wouldn't say I'm offended by them, but it is annoying when they're injected into discussions about what's actually happening on the screen
This.
I wasn't offended as well and can only speak for myself but Hell Rell and Face hit the nail on the head. Sometimes discussions about episodes turn wild and blurry when the "what I would prefer' or the 'what I would rather explore' scenarios get injected. Also, some discussions carry on and on and seem never-ending. Nonetheless constructive criticisms plus the 'what I would prefer' or 'what I would rather explore' and the 'my interpretation or opinion of this' are all valid enjoyable discussions when prefaced that way during discussions of current events of the show because those are some of the reasons why we all come to the forum.
