Why not when Adalind went through that icky and nasty blood goop while pregnant to regain her powers. Adalind had no idea who fathered her kid and since she never gave Diana a DNA test, the child could easily still be Eric's and not Sean's.
We have no idea what tests are done since DNA are so standard now.

When you are convicted of many types of crimes they take a DNA sample from you for the relevant DNA crime database. Yet most crime shows do not mention that anymore than someone brushing their teeth.
Diana is considered a hexenbiest not a hybrid like Sean too.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
