IMO, this episode is a great example of the creators poor writing to the adaptation of “The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg”. They should have renamed the episode, “How to Prevent Screwing Your Boyfriend on a Romantic Weekend Getaway”.
Replying to my earlier post. This is the episode that got Juliette under my skin. Sure it takes two to tango but at this point of the show, the Juliette character is a tertiary, at best, supporting character and Nick is the primary character and the star of the show.
The combination of, his willingness to keep her in the dark and her inquisitive mind is a great example of a relationship with love but they did not complement each other like Monroe and Rosalee, as Zansy posted on another thread,
Add in her refusal to not marry him, was just more icing on the cake of a failing relationship. Even with the inability to see the 1st and second season in sequence, I was under the impression they would have written her off during S2 or the beginning of S3.
