I think the high level of willing suspension of disbelief that's required for fantasy and science fiction has a tendency to affect every aspect of what people see in this genre. If you replaced Adalind's cookies and the doppleganger potion with scopolamine or some other date rape drug, you probably wouldn't have any problem calling what she did rape or some other form of sexual assault. By today's real-world standards, every vampire who ever mesmerized and bit someone and every witch who ever used a love potion is a rapist or an accomplice to rape, but I can count the number of times I've seen that interpretation depicted on one hand.
