All the wesen that Nick befriended was due to him being an anomaly to the standard of his people. Wesen typically fought or ran from typical Grimms, they didn't make friends with them.(10-23-2017, 02:50 PM)silver Wrote:(10-23-2017, 02:45 PM)irukandji Wrote:(10-23-2017, 05:13 AM)silver Wrote: R U kidding? As he matures, that charisma stumbles and falls - but two things - the way his character is written he becomes more so, plus he's also almost handsome as a god (in my eyes anyway).
Just like Adalind (Hank said once, talking to Wu), that a beautiful young woman like her, a jury 'wants' very much to believe - so, it's not just his quick thinking etc., but his good looks (which, to me, includes an innocence and even naiveté that equates to a certain charm, if you will).
No, I'm not kidding, and you yourself know that naturally, not everyone is going to see Nick as charismatic or godlike. For me, he's too boy next door to give the whole grimm persona a run for its money. In other words, dark and mysterious he's not and certainly not enigmatic to gain a small wesen following. I could bypass some of that if DG were a good enough actor to pull it off, but I don't find his acting skill all that good either.
First off, yes to each their own. No problemo.
I don't think you were trying to equate dark and mysterious (which I neither here or there with) and charismatic.
Okay, maybe this could be the next compare type thread - Who are the best actors/actresses on Grimm?
Not really, but I think wesen would be drawn more to a dark and mysterious grimm than the boy next door type.
