We see on screen how badly the resistance, BC, HW and the royals treat people using regular torture, killing for little reason, spells to disfigure the body and so fore. Slapping someone who can kill you by blinking their eye take guts but in the end that person is showing control by not killing you.
Brainwashing happens. It happened no so long ago to a young woman who was kidnapped by a couple and forced into slavery. The case went to trial because the young woman was over the age of consent so all of the things done to her were presented as those of a consenting adult.
What decided the jury in the end was the contract she signed with the man. She signed it using her slave name. She was brainwashed into believing she was a slave. So much so, that when she had the chance to escape, she didn't. I believe brainwashing exists. The Nazis studied it extensively and no doubt experimented with it.

Like the young woman who was forced into slavery, I believe Juliette was also forced into a kind of slavery. It was apparent she was given no control to use her will. HW kidnapped her to use her as a weapon. She was never given the option of using her independence to simply walk away from HW. She was programmed to be a part of them. I don't see an independent woman in Eve. I see a solder who's told what to do and does it because it's been reinforced within her that it's her duty.
Meisner is her handler IMO. She would have been brainwashed into relying on him for instruction. I'm positive there was magic involved in order to subdue her hexenbiest.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. She's an actress and a nice person. It's obvious she figuratively isn't going to crap where she eats.

Sure there are, but that wasn't Juliette. She thought she was pregnant. She told Nick as much. She didn't add to it by stating because she thought she was pregnant she also considered aborting the baby. It's also telling that if she thought she was pregnant, she apparently was not using birth control. I know women can get pregnant while on birth control, but Juliette didn't give me that impression. I got more of the impression that if she was pregnant, she wanted to surprise Nick with the news.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.
