Someone's house or the spice shop-who can you really trust not to give them up under torture, plus any decent B&E guy could get in either-set up some spy cameras and see where they are kept, then go in to get the goods. Trailer/RV-easy to break in, but easily moved. Except for the bank, everything can be burnt down. Not sure anywhere is completely safe-in a flood/tornado/earthquake/civil unrest everywhere is vulnerable.
The real treasure in this were the books. The weapons could have been photographed, measured, weighed and reproduced. The books could easily have been scanned, made into pdfs and uploaded into the cloud. For few bucks a month the could have used a secured and private BlueMix cloud and for a few bucks more not used the Internet for access if they wanted extra security. But if the chose a public-private cloud not on-prem they could have accessed it from his smart phone. In other words no need to go back to anywhere for research.
Moreover he could have scanned and keyword indexed everything fairly quickly. The books were not that extensive. It was a weekend project for the scoobies. In this way the books could have been made available to Truble and any other Grimm Nick deemed worthy.
Oxford commas are so totally rad!.
