The other thing I found just a little bizarre was how BC was so easily able to destroy HW headquarters in Portland. No cameras to warn them of BC, no alarms going off ahead of time to alert them someone's on the grounds. The HW guys aren't armed and don't even have a plan in place in case the enemy gets to them, and Eve and Trubel just happen to be out of the compound at the time of the attack.
I have to agree with you on some of these points, HW as a force were very hit and miss and failed to see the obvious on a few occasions. The ploy to draw Eve and Trubel away from HQ was almost viable. The lack of HW's preparedness for any kind of attack was pathetic to say the least. Meisners character was another one I thought could have been written better. He seemed to lack that spark he appeared to have in previous seasons.
