Many posters really liked that she became a Hexenbiest. For a very long time I didn't and wanted Nick and the others to change her back, just like the gang wanted to do. I came very late to the realization that she should have been accepted in her new state. I have lingering doubts about it though, because she may have morphed into a very dangerous and vengeful wesen even if they did embrace her new identity.
Now THAT'S a version of season 5 I would have loved to see. Just imagine the fascinating course this show could have taken if Nick had:
1) Stayed in the house with Juliette when she first revealed her transformation;
2) Kissed her when she dared him to;
3) Actually stepped out of Juliette's way when she demanded Adalind's blood in the police station.
The last one would have caused an insane amount of controversy - maybe even more so than pairing Nick with Adalind - but think of how electrifying the scene could have been if Nick suddenly pulled out his gun and ordered everyone to stay back while Juliette dealt with Adalind. His friends would have been shocked, Adalind would have been shocked, even Juliette would have been shocked. But then she realized Nick had her back in her darkest moment, and - to everyone's surprise - walked away. Just imagine a following scene where Kenneth is pouring some newly opened wine for Juliette, smugly certain she's already turned traitor, only for her to turn up on his doorstep and rip his heart out. A lot of people sitting around their TVs would have CHEERED.
The rest of the episodes would deal with the fallout of Nick's decision to side with Juliette, including being rejected by Hank and a temporary suspension by Renard. That would have been an amazing left turn for the story to take. It's a shame they went down the "Harvey Dent/Two-Face" road instead.
I can't believe what just happened. Twice I wrote a post in reply to you, and my darned computer just erased it both times. I thought I would scream when it just happened again. Something about how I'm using this touch pad, I guess. I'm almost afraid to type, but here's goes again.
You have a writer's imagination, Hexenadler, and can spin a good story, something I can't do for the life of me. But someone has to listen to, or watch, or read a story, so that's where we appreciators come in. And sure, I'd like your version much better than what we've gotten. But I still am a fan of the show, so I just go along with it. Have to choose my battles carefully in my dotage!
Seems like Nick and Juliette's is a sort of Greek tragedy love story and that saddens me. I acknowledge the show's changed, but I'm basically okay with it; in fact, the tension that is building with this Wesen Revolution, because that's what it is, is holding my attention just now. Not to say I don't miss the way things were back in the day; always will.
I had a few more thoughts I wanted to add, in fact, my fingers were flying across the keyboard to get them down when I was figuratively smacked across my head (twice) by the computer beasties in my touch pad so I'll post this now.
