Monroe and Rosalie trying to convince themselves that Juliette is really dead. They say things like Nick wouldn't make it up and certainly wouldn't call them if it wasn't true.
Hank also confirmed Nick told him about Juliette's death but he also says he isn't certain of anything anymore.
Rosalie actually takes some responsibility for what happened to Juliette. What I thought was weird was that Monroe did not, and then says something to the effect of how horrible it would have been had Nick died and if it had to be one of them, it was better that it was Juliette.
Neither Monroe or Rosalee mourns Juliette either. Hank and Sean are surprised, but neither of them seems upset.
The whole Nick going off the deep end, kidnapping Chavez, and then reluctantly going with her to find out more about the government conspiracy Trubel told him about. Naturally Chavez dies before she can reveal anything to him.
Nick fought pretty hard that night, yet he shows no injuries. Come to think of it, none of them do.
Here's another odd thing. After the killing spree, Hank, Wu and Monroe seem abnormally calm and refreshed the next morning.
The episode seemed really static to me, constantly going from one scene to the next. We all know the episode began with a dream/drug induced scene of the funeral. What I wondered was if the entire episode was a series of dream/drug induced scenarios that were just melded together to make us think there was an actual storyline there.
Izzy, I don't know if you have seen the episode yet. If not, sorry for the spoiler here, but I wanted to throw this out to see if anyone else thought the same thing.
Chavez is walking down a corridor lined with cells. They reminded me a lot of the solitary confinement cells at Alcatraz, you know the iron door with just a slat for light. There's some screaming and she peeks into one.
Some people have speculated that Juliette might have been the one screaming.
I wondered if maybe it was Nick we heard screaming. Thoughts?
Yes to so much of what you said. I doubted Nick's descriptions to Hank because there was no bruises on Nick from the fight with Juliette, no smashed wall from where she threw him against it.
All I know is distrust anything filmed in black and white, and for that matter don't trust anything filmed in color either. I've watched the Grimm Identity episode twice. I've read half of the transcript. This episode "can" mean anything, and doesn't settle on anything. Oh well there is always next week, which will probably act as if this week is all settled and closed and no answers will be given !!!
