I think she is a little relieved that she isn't actually going crazy, and will hopefully calm down a bit. the preview for next week's episode makes me a little sad, because it sounds like she doesn't calm down and "is going to get herself killed", as Nick says, but I really hope they don't get rid of her so quickly. ITA. I think she brings a bit of new life to the show, and her wise-acre dark humor is refreshing. More than one Grimm is also a great idea. Nick can't save the world by himself, or even just Portland! (04-30-2014, 06:41 AM)Elkhound Wrote: The actress looks enough like David G. to be his younger sister. I still think that they'll shake the family tree and discover she's a cousin of some sort. (Otherwise, why would they have chosen a girl that looks so much like him?) ITA. And what if Nick has a sister his mother either kept from him or thinks is dead? Or an illegitimate daughter of his father? I'd like that. I, too, think it's a bit much for Nick to expect Juliette to accept Truble in their home. She needs to be educated on her "Grimmness," and become independent. Rosalie's old apartment MAY be a good idea.
I''m not mad, I'm just from Philly!

From Kelly's talk with Nick in the second season and from Nick's remarks about a "ressesive gene" in the last episode, I think that "Grimmness" is an ability that can pop up on either the female or male line of the family. Just saying.

Really hope we're not going to have an episode on "TV genetics" because those can be ... painful. Well, I guess as long as no one strays too far from Grimm-ness being a recessive gene, it shouldn't be too bad. But if it's recessive, it would have to be on his father's side of the family to -- oh look, I've gone cross-eyed. Hope it doesn't turn out to be the mess of "it's recessive but strongly present anyway gene" like the wonky, impossible genetics of wizarding population in Harry Potter (low-level population built on those with apparently recessive genes but wizards/witches are the typical outcome of any Muggle/wizarding couple; and that's not even mentioning the Squibs). Just saying. I guess you are right there. Didn't think of that. I'm of the opinion that Truble will turn out to be Nick's sister. If you look at the timeline, its been about 21 years since Nick's dad and Kelly's friend were killed and Truble is about 20 - 21 years old and Nick and Truble are both from New York originally. I believe Kelly was pregnant with Truble when she gave Nick to Marie, had her under an assumed name and gave her to friends in New York to care for. In episode 19 Truble speaks of the murder of her "foster parents" and its been obvious that Kelly has not told Nick everything that's happened to her over the years. Like her connection to the resistance, etc. And Truble does seem to act a lot like Kelly, a 'kill em first and let God sort it out' kinda gal.

That seems like a not impossible hypothesis.
I had earlier--before T. came on the scene--speculated that one of "Uncle George's" kids would turn out to be a Grimm and be sent to Portland to be trained by Cousin Nick, perhaps attending Reed College or Portland State University as a 'cover.' |
