ABC wanted to cancel Agents of SHIELD but.... - rpmaluki - 09-28-2017

Disney wouldn't let them and I couldn't be happier.

i would prefer is all 3 networks, ABC, NBC and CBS all go out of business. They are outdated remnants form a dinosaur area of TV entertainment

So true.

With all three networks owned by corporations that produce content, I can see a day coming when the revenue they bring in from sales of commercial time will eventually become less important to the parent corporation than the value the "free" broadcasting has as a medium to promote the sale of content through other forms of delivery. Look at what CBS just did with "Star Trek: Discovery."

Yes! I don't think I can ever watch another NBC show again after their decision to axe Grimm.

It just gets to show the possibility that a show can still survive despite the low ratings, as long as the network believes in it and its future potential. I hate hate what NBC did, they were so desperate for ratings that they would axe one of its most reliable performers. I hope they continue losing ratings and viewership.

I'm glad this show wasn't cancelled. Hopefully it'll make it through another renewal!

I'm glad it wasn't cancelled either. It's actually one of the few science fiction shows that delves into character issues. I love that about Agents of Shield.

Do you think this is a good sign for the potential a Grimm spinoff?

What I'm thinking about is probably 10 years or more in the future. So no.

Grimm is actually being shown on Netflix internationally right now, so the show is still probably gaining new fans. I'm just hoping with enough demand and fan enthusiasm, Netflix, some other network or even NBC picks it up again and give us either a continuation or a spinoff. I mean, the show ended on a high, it had very good ratings, the fandom is still there and is gaining wider exposure because of streaming services. This is probably the only show I've been obsessed with since Stranger Things, i could watch it over and over again without getting bored. My mother is the same, she loves this show and is holding out hope for a new season to come out.
