I have the same problem with this series that I had with "Smallville." Endlessly dragging out the 20 minute origin part of a superhero movie.

I'd be fine with it ending after season 5.
Smallville was just ridiculous! That had no business going for 10 seasons. They had to keep stalling and Clark would have to keep learning lessons he already learned years ago. Clark would learn something or progress towards his destiny in the first handful of episodes every season then regress and repeat the same thing in the next season.
