Discussion- Grimm comic issue #3 (beware spoilers) - FräuleinWunderlich - 07-29-2013
I starting a thread to the #3 issue her, so if anybody want to talk about this part, here is the place.
Previously on Grimm:
Nick, Monroe and Hank driving to Europe to find Nicks Mum. The Gang met a guy with the name Lazlo and another female grimm called Maya, shortly after they arrived in Vienna. With help of the two Nick tries to find his missing mother and the 3Coins. In the storyline of Kelly Burkhardt we see her in the hands of a men named Drauz. This men want to have the coins form Kelly. And Drauz is not finicky with Nicks mum to get the important informations from her. During Nick, Monroe, Hank, Maya and Lazlo are on the way to Italy, it comes to a fight between the Group and Drauz´s people. In this Nick and Maya be disconnected from the rest of the group. Meanwhile Kelly tries to escape from Drauz.

Ok what do we see:
- first time in Grimm history we saw Nick face to face with Royals(exept the Captain of course)
- Lazlo and and the other 2 boys localized the hidden place of the coins
- we see Monores soft side, while he´s carries Lazlo´s dead cat( beautiful painting)
- Nick in a very angry mode because he thinks his friends are dead
After the weak last part Issue #3 this part gathered speed. For me, Maya is increasingly intersting. When I get it right she workes for Drauz.

very interesting issue... It was not a total shock that Miya is mixed up with drauz as she is clearly for sale. Now the question is, is she going to continue to work for him or will nick get her to change her ways.
The fact that the coin box was empty is interesting. Who has them? I'm wondering if Kelly hid them somewhere else and this was a decoy hiding place
Issue 4 comes out in two weeks... can't wait!

Number 3 - I like it
It is fun to see Monroe swearing at the dead Hundjäger "Nilpferd Furzen", a new Grimm-German expression, this time in the comic. Nilpferd - hippo, furzen - to fart.
Monroe is touched by the death of the cat. He's my hero!
I like the Genio Innocuo, an amiable guy.
Nice scene at the royal's table where we learn a lot about how the royals see the world, and a funny idea that Nick introduces Maya to Kelly in the middle of a chaotic fight.
Did anyone notice the "midtown comics exclusive cover" on the second to last page? You can see a Ziegenvolk there. Yes, with my long demanded "n" in the middle!

I´m still thinking about the scene where the Royal say to Nick: Son of a... and Kelly interrupts the conversation. Was it just to keep the Comic family friendly or is Nick a half Grimm?!?

I think she felt insulted in advance.
The normal way to end "son of a..." after all is "...bitch".
