Hello all!
So I have a big bone to pick with this episode!
So I'm an American. I grew up abroad and and now currently work overseas.
THUS I HAVE TO ASK!!!!
How in the absolute heck do these "kids" get to drive to school?! In such nice cars!?!?!?
Did I miss something!? I am so confused.
I got my first car when I was 25 and my dad loaned it to me because he was worried about me dying because I was contemplating buying 2002 Honda Civic up in Connecticut. He loaned me a newer Outback since it had all wheel drive.
Gave it right back to him when I left CT.
Moved to Japan and bought a 2002 junker for 10000 yen (100 dollars). Still driving that even though I make a decent salary.
So i guess I have to ask... is this normal? or is this just some insane fantasy crazy stuff?
Your thoughts?
Note not a boomer was born in early early 90s.

I didn't know anyone who drove a nice car when I was a teenager. It could be where I grew up because it's far from luxurious. Most people I knew didn't even have cars and I know none of my friends did. Seeing kids drive to school on TV, let alone in such nice cars, always seemed like such a foreign world to me.

Yea there are kids of rich families that do have those brand new cars. The absurd part was that it looked as if they were attending public school if I recall. Maybe they were in a private school, I forgot. Either way, yea there are rich kids whom have such luxuries including some that get chauffeur driven in limos.
As for me, I got to school in a very expensive vehicle costing in the hundredths of thousand dollars. They were NYC Transits Buses with my $1.00 or $2.00 monthly pass, I forgot that too.
