Episode artwork - Yagermeister - 05-28-2013

In the last episode, there was a scene in Nick and Juliette's house that had two paintings next to each other on the wall. I thought it was a very good look.

Is there anybody who knows what the paintings are and by whom?

Thank you.

the only painting I have ever noticed in Juliette's house the one in the stairwell. It first caught my attention when Nick and his mom had that fight with the Japanese guy. When Renard came to visit he noticed it had a cross bow bolt in it.
Anyway, that bridge is one of the more famous bridges in Portland. We've seen it a few time on the show. I think its the Fremont Bridge. I'm sure one of the real Portlanders can tell you.

Hey Yagermeister, welcome to the forum!

Thankfully, our partners at Grimm-Fan.com have the most up-to-date Screen Capture gallery, so I went over and looked for the paintings you were talking about here: http://grimm-fan.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=94&pid=112456#top_display_media

Are these the paintings you're talking about?

Seems like a Penguin and a Crane... but not entirely sure. Looks like something I'd find at the Saturday Market, or one of the monthly art festivals.

Its a little difficult to tell from this distance but I don't recognize those particular paintings as belonging to any well known artists, I think GrimmForum was right in that they most likely came from a market or art festival. Potentially even something created by a member of the art department on set.

The paintings I saw were side by side. I think the scene had Nick and Juliette sitting on the couch, and the pictures were across the room behind where they were.

I know this is quite a stretch, but they really caught my eye.
