Do you think Grimm could pull off a comedic episode? - Grimmster123 - 04-29-2015

A lot of supernatural series in the past (X-Files) have worked comedic episodes into their repertoire and generally they where pretty well received. Some episodes that come to mind are Humbug, Jose Chung's From Outer Space, and Bad Blood. Do you think Grimm could pull off a comedic episode?

I'm also a huge fan of Portlandia which is an IFC sketch comedy show that is also filmed in Portland and stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. I think it would be interesting to see a crossover of sorts and have the writers of Grimm do an incredibly comedy centered episode. I do feel like it would be very tough to do, but it would be fun to see the writers go a little bit out of the box. What do you guys think?

Well, I think they could do it. During the last season hiatus my old pal Starfury and I speculated on an idea of Bud getting into some kind of trouble and Nick then assigns Truble (if she had stayed in Portland) as a bodyguard for him and his family.

We thought the interaction between Truble, Mrs. Bud and the little eisbeibers had the potential to be absolutely hilarious! Tongue Don't know how they would do it now though.

Frankly, I think the showrunners OWE us a comedic episode after all the misery they've been putting us through. Just one completely whacked-out story where reality itself is playing practical jokes on all of the characters. Normal situations you'd expect on the show that quickly escalate to grotesque proportions as the episode goes on. I want to see HOME ALONE-style slapstick where the cast are slipping and falling over each other against their will.

Preferably it could happen just after Juliette reunites with the good guys (it'd be so rewarding to see Hex-Julie taught some humility), but the earlier in season 5, the better.
