Actually it was number 1 as you can see on TVbytheNumbers:

Quote:The fourth season debut of “Grimm” (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grew by +15% versus last May’s season finale in 18-49 (1.5 vs. 1.3 on May16) to deliver the show’s top rating since March 21 (1.5).

“Grimm” was the night’s #1 scripted series on the Big 4 in adults 18-49.

L+7: Last season, “Grimm” originals added an average +82% in 18-49 rating (to a 2.55 from a 1.40)and 2.8 viewers overall (8.2 million vs. 5.4 million) to these next-day L+SD ratings when Nielsen issued L+7 results.

I understand you may not like the show anymore and I respect your opinion but let's look at the data objectively. Even last night slight ticking down is registered as a positive on TVbytheNumbers:

Quote:“Grimm” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) Is currently up +1% in total viewers week to week (4.982 million vs. 4.931 million) to hit a three-week high (best since the series debut on Oct. 24 averaged 5.3 million), pending updates. “Grimm” ranks #2 in the slot in all key measures among the Big 4 (including a tie for #2 in men 18-34).

“Grimm” will add substantial audience via time-shifting, growing last week by +68% when L+3 time-shifted viewing was added to this next-day L+SD rating (from a 1.31 to a 2.20).

Could the show do better? Sure. Is it doing badly? No, it's not.

RE: Ratings - Pontiac Dude - 01-25-2015

I can related to the drop in viewers. When they got away from individual GRIMM fairy tale type story lines and got into a have to watch every week to keep up with a soap opera format. I started to loose interest. That and week after week of Nick's girlfriend taking forever to relate to him. Took forever to end that storyline. I don't mind a little long ended basic storyline. But what drew my interest from the beginning was the different creature issues Nick had to deal with. I just hope they continue to bring new creatures for Nick and his 'New crew' to deal with. Then more people watch it.

Actually the time you refering to was season 2 which still holds the record in viewership AND gaining new viewers in (2.22 got over 9 million viewers, during the season the show's audience grew about 30 %).
AS Grimm is now in syndication I sadly have to say they will get a fifth season. Do they deserve it? No!
What "New Crew"?
