With Sean learning more about the danger Diana is in. Then finding out it is conected to Nick, the tunnel, and Eve. He is not going to want Diana there. When he then learns Adalind's involment in why Diana is connected that is going to drive a wedge. Sean not learning Adalind's part in this yet. Is why Sean did not say who the mother is. I bet his friend knows about the mother that performed the ritual. When the friend figures out Diana is the result. Sean will realize Adalind is the mother. Problem how does he tell his daughter her mother is the cause of what is happiness to her. He doesn't but he does use it against Adalind to try and control the situation.
I predict Adalind as left with Nick at the fome without Diana. Adalind will blame Nick for getting the stick and cloth. She will tell him I told you to not go after what the keys where for. Adalind will feel had Nick not got the stick and cloth. Diana would not have seen the symbols or the portal would not have opened.
Nick being Nick will feel it is his fault. Maybe he should have left it buried.

In one of the behind the scene shooting Sean and Nick were yelling at each at Rosalee and Monroe house a place that Diana could visit and the mirror monster may be there.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.
They are building such a bond between Diana and Sean it is not hard to see Diana going with Sean. Also out of six seasons nothing has gone right for Adalind why would they change that. Just like Juliette was always a victim. In season 5 at the end Eve was again a victim. Now she is constantly a victim. In the end we can expect her to be the victim. As for Nick there has been nothing but sorrow and heartach. And that is where his story ends. As for Sean he always lands on his feet. His story ends with Sean doing what's best for Sean. From what it seems that is being with Diana. Out of six seasons she is the one thing that can get to him.

that scene could be in the eppy Blood magic. Because Sean does confront Nick about the symbols
The question as others have said was not his mother but Diana mother. With the women he has been with was likely meant to be a funny question, but maybe not she doesn't know if the Diana just showed up and said you're my daddy.

True, today you can use DNA tests and find family web sites and find your dad and have no idea who your mother is.
