Which is why I loved the ending for The Mentalist. I spent that whole of the last season expecting some horrible twist like Patrick Jane was Red John all along, that he had a split personality or something but no, we got a very happy ending for all of the characters. That was very ballsy of the writers. I like happy endings, especially after I feel the characters were tortured enough during the show. Happy endings doesn't mean they never ever have to face another world ending big bad, or have wesen or internal problems, it's about giving them reprieve after so much drama. That's what I want for Grimm. It's about giving them a win with a hint of the next problem to solve.
