I just don't see an attraction factor there. It's not just Trubel, Kelly didn't appear to me to be a person who would attract men either. In my opinion, they don't seem to act particularly feminine. They prefer to take a masculine stance in everything, attitude, method of defense, even their way of dressing. The hexenbiest women are much more stylish and it's easy to see why men are attracted to them. I enjoy your lively debate. You both make some valid points. I would side with Irukanji on this one. For me, a woman needs to be feminine. So call me a Male Chauvinist Pig but I am a huge advocate of women. My father's father died when Dad was three. So my grandmother was left with five kids to raise in the depression. She was as tough as they come, all 5'2" of her. Her memory is a source of strength to me. She puts all of the contemporary feminists to shame. IMHO, real men want real women. New Guy

One other thing I wanted to mention is that I believe women like Kelly and Trubel take a more masculine approach is because they don't want to attract unwanted attention. This makes sense because some of the attention they would be attracting would be in the form of wesen who would want to kill them. Both of them dress in dark clothes and Kelly usually liked to come out at night, if I remember correctly. She tried to blend in with her background so she could ambush rather than be ambushed.

The "Headache" episode seemed phony to me. She would not fall for any set up. Even if Nick sent the e-mail, she would have been way more vigilant. The real Kelly would have rolled all their heads, including Juliette's when she got wise to her betrayal of Nick. I miss her. New Guy

It does seem a tad odd that you can't bear to read comments that include gender stereotypes, but have no problem writing them. I don't think your assessment speaks of a male chauvinist any more than my comment was sexist. I can remember not so long ago women that I worked with almost falling at a dead faint over Brad Pitt. Although he's a good actor, he's not anything that would have made me swoon. But that's what makes us all different, in my opinion. We're all hard wired differently. I don't see Kelly or Trubel as completely and totally feminine, and that works for them. In my opinion, there has to be a lot of toughness and adaptability to be a Grimm. I don't believe a lot of females would find it all that appealing. As for Nick, he seems to find hexenbiest and wesen much more appealing than a female Grimm. In my opinion.

Just, no... Their like brother and sister. Even though we have no clue about Trubel's sexuality, I see her more as asexual for some reason. I'm very good and figuring out who's gay and straight in real life, so hopefully that rule applies to TV characters.

Having had some form of man-woman relationships with warrior women and warrior woman wannabees (think kick boxers, females boxers, police, prison guard as examples) it is very hard on the woman. Deep down, all the macho B.S. aside, a woman is still a woman no matter what image she projects to the outside world but personal relationships of an intimate nature are a very different story. Women can be as tough as nails, but it leaves them totally fuzzy-kittened when it comes to relationships with men. I have yet to meet one that developed a truly satisfying and successful relationship with a man that satisfies both parties in the relationship. Kelly and Truble may be tough as nails but at some point they yield part of the feminine experience to what they have become.

She has been on the run, afraid she might be going insane, then she learns the truth from Nick, and now she finds herself in the middle of an undeclared war. I don't think she has ever had the chance to have any kind of relationship with anyone.

After rewatching E6 last night, I think the show has pretty much taken the idea of any romantic involvement between Nick and Truble off the table. In the scene where she hugged Nick, the pair of them gave off such a strong brother - sister vibe that for a moment there I really believed they were siblings. That relationship has become so strong, I don't see how the show can change it now.
Very well acted scene. Miss Toboni is becoming a real pro.
