She has her lap top. Adalind was working up to and including the day she left. That was the day Conrad came by the office. When know Adalind was not confined to the mansion. We saw her in the park with Diana on the swings. Now that she is back at the fome there is no excuse for her not to go to work. But then in season 6 Adalind seems to do less then she did in season 5.If Adalind's office was aligned with BC, I don't think they would introduce Conrad as their evil boss and she must help them or else. Conrad was sweet talking Adalind from the moment he walked into her office, even when he was threatening her. I'm sure Conrad would have ordered Adalind's boss not to spook Adalind because of her relationship with Nick. So introducing him as a client, lets down her guard until he has her where he wants, which is fearing for her kids enough to consider leaving Nick for their cause.

This is a law firm. Conrad would have to be a lawyer to be a partner. Conrad could not be anything other then a client. It's not a company where he could be part owner, or manager, or on the board of directors. It is a law firm.

I never said Conrad was a partner at the law firm, I called him Berman's "boss" in a similar vein as a mafia boss would run things in several businesses within a city where he doesn't have any legally documented part in the day to day runnings of the said business. Adalind was working fine until she became Sean's fiancé and her job was no longer an issue because she had a "bigger job" planned for her by BC. That shows how reaching Conrad's powers were, it was a global phenomenon, or at least it was until the writers screwed it up at the half way mark of S5.
The Northern Portland Police work for the city yet Conrad was the one they answered to when the took Nick in without following procedure and attacked the loft, so why couldn't a private law firm do the same, considering Conard was THE leader of BC intending for all wesen not to live in secret anymore? Adalind got her job back because she is wesen once again. That law firm utilised wesen abilities, not aligning with Conrad would seem odd or else Adalind would never have needed her abilities in order to get her job back. There's no way Conrad was simply a client or else Conrad's warning would have included her not telling her boss anything about their conversation.

For the time being, she doesn't appear to think sending Diana to daycare or school is a very good idea, and carting two children into an office every day is probably pushing the limits of even the most progressive workplace. You are making 1 huge assumption that she quit her job. Hasn't been shown or stated. with that being said Adalind's job allows her to bring her children to work. She talks to her boss about it and he was fine with it and it was shown. Due to the fact her children are not safe and both men are demanding makes planning difficult. We see Adalind taking care of the kids at the fome each day without computers she would need to work from home. Her boss was working with BC and knew that Sean wanted her at the BC mansion. Adalind made it clear she was not leaving either child alone at the mansion to Nick. First off Adalind could leave the house freely and unattended. Otherwise she wouldn't have been able to go to Nicks and create the trust me not without Renards knowledge. When Bonoporte was alive it was different not because he forbid Adalind from seeing Nick but because Adalind wanted to keep Nick and her children safe. If Adalind went to the fome than Bonoporte would have found out where Nick lived early on which was a huge thing neither Adalind or Nick wanted. Adalind could freely move around though. Also as someone else pointed out Adalind has a laptop that she was shown doing work on in season 5. When we see Adalind after she moves to the Manson most of her scenes happen at night. Like 99% of them which is why we don't see her working. However it has neither been said or shown that she quit her job, so there is no reason to assume she did.

What ever power Conrad had Adalind was working at the firm when he came by. two episode later Conrad was dead. That ends any power he had. But the biggest question is if the firm was sympathetic with BC cause. Why would that effect Adalind working for them. There are BC police where Nick works and he is still there. So why wouldn't Adalind work for a firm that has BC sympathizers.

Whether Adalind quit her job or not, she's not going to work now. She could be officially on leave; if not most employers consider you have quit if you stop coming to work long enough.
Adalind was never shown leaving the house until after the night she told Nick that Conrad's guards were gone. It's possible that she might have, but before that night the guards would probably have been there with her. It'd probably be easy enough for Adalind to find out whether Conrad's relationship with the firm was BC related. Assuming they aren't hostile to her because she left Sean, she can go in and look for Conrad's client file. If there isn't one, her boss is probably a BC supporter.

Am I naive in believing that Adalind shouldn't return to that firm? I see no reason why Adalind wouldn't just believe that her firm sold her out to BC. I never even gave her returning there a second thought.
In all honesty, I think Adalind was given the job to setup her meeting with Conrad later in the season. She was approached by her former co-worker in Lost Boys but didn't return to the firm until shortly before meeting Conrad. Adalind was never shown at work since that meeting. It was clear to me that Adalind's boss had as much say as Renard did. Renard was clearly not in power despite being elected mayor. Conrad called the shots and Adalind had to do what he told her to do and her boss was never going to intervene.

Adalind asked for the first time for anyone to watch Diana therefore up to that point she was always with Diana and Kelly too for at least 4 shows. She say other than Rosalee, Nick or Sean she did not want anyone else to watch Diana. In season 5, Conard said Diana was not allowed out so Adalind never left the mansion without BC permission in 5. When she did the Trust Me Knot, Sean was the one who asked her to leave children with someone and he would not have been surprised that it was Rosalee. We see Adalind and near the park with both kids during the day. She was nervous for Nick being around Diana and she is more concerned for strangers. Sean works during the day so he cannot babysit for Adalind to work a 9 to 5 job. At the fome, we have seen Adalind and the kids their during the day for days in a row. Monroe sees watching Diana has a big deal so they are not doing it every day.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.

Sheesh.Despite my extreme dislike for Nick's relationship with Juliette in the earlier seasons, I still enjoyed the show. This soap opera triangle nonsense is not fun to watch in any way. I don't understand what's so hard for the writers to write him in just one relationship whether it's Adalind or Juliette and be done with it. It's the adult thing to do but we can't ever have that on this show. LOL. The stick likes Nick, so why isn't he the lead in this story instead of Juliette and Diana? Nick died at least twice and should have been the one seeing the symbols on the cloth and becomes fixated with creating the drawings in the cave and should been the one with the death grip! |
