Considering that he and his aunt had just been attacked, and that Marie said the answers were in the trailer, and Nick found books with pictures of wesen he had just seen for the first time, it was quite natural that he wanted to get in it. What would have been sensational was if he did not show interest in the trailer. That does not mean he was calm and happy.

Nope. Just saying he was comfortable in a trailer containing weapons, poisons, and detailed diaries. Most normal humans would be distinctly uncomfortable in such a place.

Maybe we weren't. The part I saw involved Nick waking up and looking out at the trailer. He was very calm and looked at the weapons, and then at the diaries.
