My guess is that the "fallen angel" reference isn't going to end up being an actual biblical one, but some kind of parallel-universe-denizen-mistaken-for-angel-by-medieval-eyewitnesses thing.
In bible, it is not really specified who the real Devil is. But it is said that Archangel Lucifer, second son of The God, was the first creation of God to rebel, making him Satan. However, i don't think that terrifying weird creature is Lucifer. It may be demon, or Grimm style devil.
I've lost count of how many characters on Grimm have been described as being taken for demons or the devil over the centuries. And then there's the Catholic Pope who Monroe claims kept Furis Rubians chained up in the Vatican and displayed them as sideshow demons to frighten the masses and raise alms.

reminds me of that eppy about the priest who used his woged as a devil looking wesen to take money from his audience and his wife thought he was the devil and in the end killed him
