The "Wesen of the issue" here is the so-called "Hadosheru", it looks like an armored Samurai with wings like a dragonfly. Forget about physics, yes, it can fly! When not in Woge, the Hadosheru looks Asian and reminds me strongly of Akira Kimura.
It starts with two police officers, Adams and Mc Henry, who are called to an old factory building because of a noise complaint, they expect some kind of illegal rave like in S1E05 Danse Macabre, but they find nothing but a dark and empty building. Out of a sudden, the Hadosheru grabs Adams from behind and tears him in two with his bare hands, shouting "Grimm!"
Captain Renard, Nick and Hank visit Mc Henry in hospital, the Hadosheru left him alive enough to tell them what happened. Soon another police officer is found dead, and it’s always the same kind of trap: someone calls 911 to report a noise or a break in. Renard and Nick agree that it’s not about the police but about Nick.
Nick is worried about Juliette and sends her to Rosalee and Monroe to be safe.
Wu and Franco go after the next 911 call and wait in front of the jewelry shop to wait for Nick as ordered. The Akira-Kimura-like guy comes out like he wants to talk to them but then grabs Wu’s gun, shoots Franco (Franco’s vest, to be exact, breaking some ribs), threatens Wu, then Nick and Hank arrive by car and knock him over. However he manages to woge and isn’t hurt because of his armor.
The Hadosheru grabs Nick and flies away with him, Hank shoots and hits but the Hadosheru doesn’t even notice it. Now Nick has to fight the Hadosheru, he can’t hurt him with his fists or his gun, the disappointed Hadosheru lets him go to watch more police officers die. (I just don’t get it: why doesn’t he simply finish Nick off? Nothing but nonsense )
Now Nick is able to visit the trailer and to look his opponent up, he finds out that the armor can be broken with a samurai Naginata and of course he has one in his weapon collection. Now he and Hank only have to wait for the next 911 call, Nick pries the armor open and Hank shoots what is inside.
In the last two pictures, as a dead tired Nick finally wants to go to bed, he is hit by an electric shock, gets unconscious and most likely taken hostage by a guy who obviously used the Hadosheru as a "test" for Nick.
To be continued.
So it was all along the mission of the Hadosheru to sacrifice himself to test the Grimm? Is this the reason, wasn’t he allowed to kill Nick? Puh, I don’t buy it. It’s definitely not my favorite comic issue.
