I actually can see why there are some people here who question the believability in the pairing of Nick and Adalind. Their behavior together during season five is curious to me. If I remember correctly, Nick never really gave any indication of his feelings toward Adalind or what he expected of their living arrangement. She didn't either until she decided right before Germany to give him a taste of what he was missing. Even then, he didn't attribute them coming together as anything other than sex. Not love, but sex. And for Kelly being the one all important issue in Adalind's life to the point she vowed raising him right, she herself never seemed to take a mature approach to the subject either.
I'm not sure what Adalind would do if Nick showed a sudden interest in Eve.
The best way to frustrate a cyberbully is to ignore him.

When are you talking about? In season 5, Adalind left Nick so if he went to Eve she would have wanted a support agreement for Kelly and ask him if Eve was still upset with her and Kelly. In Adalind's note she wrote that she loved Nick but Nick did not believe her so she knew that Nick at that time was not in love with her and was ok with that but wanted him to believe that she still cared about him.
If Nick left Adalind after 20 years together I am sure Adalind would have been very hurt at least.
Women characters do not have to be having sex with the lead to be important to the story.

Nick didn't speak much about what he felt, this is true but he made his attraction to Adalind known to her. He does tell her that he'd been thinking about kissing her after their kiss at the table.
Adalind had very little expectations from Nick in S5. If he decided to patch things up with Eve, she was aware she had no claim to him so step aside she would. The only thing she'd be concerned about is Kelly and would therefore come some agreement. She was much more forthcoming about her feelings than Nick but she took certain cues from Nick with regards to the progression of their romantic relationship.

As long as Kelly wouldn't come to harm, Adalind most likely would've stepped aside if Nick wanted to be with Juliette in season 5. Juliette coming back would obviously make Adalind worry about Kelly's safety. She did share her concern with Nick about Juliette wanting him back as a possibility. I'm sure she would be hurt on a personal level but she was more fearful of what Juliette would do to Kelly and herself if she wanted Nick back. Adalind saw how powerful Juliette was the last time she saw her and just heard about her taking out 20 wesen single-handedly earlier that day.
Adalind didn't really have any great expectations of Nick. She made this clear early on when she told him he didn't even have to tell her what he was doing during the day or what time he would be home at night. Adalind was aware they didn't have that type of relationship and didn't make any demands of Nick. Nick making the choice to go back to Juliette wouldn't stop her from wanting him to be a father to Kelly as long as Juliette played nice although trusting her around Kelly would be hard to swallow. It also would've made her return to work earlier.

I would say the same but that would take two episodes max knowing these writers.

Lol. True.
Such an issue would have been resolved very quickly.
Quote:Hypothetically speaking, if Nick began looking at Eve as a possible love interest, do you think Adalind would step out of the way to allow their relationship to grow? Or would she stand in the way?
I wouldn't phrase it as 'moving out of the way'. However, any woman with even a smidgen of sense, that is in any type of relationship with a man 'moves on' and focuses on doing what's best for herself (and her children, if she has any) once she realizes that her partner/spouse is in love with someone else and would rather be with that other person. Also, I would say she moves on with her life regardless of any feelings she still has for that man. One cannot control or stop another person from falling out of love with them. Just like Eve/Juliette moved on with her life and understood clearly that it was over between Nick and her - smart. Based on Adalind's actions in S5, like other posters pointed out, Adalind would move on with her life and figure out what to do with herself (and kids) - if Nick (re)develops romantic feelings for Eve/Juliette and would rather be with her.

Just to be clear even if Nick wanted to go back to Juliette/Eve IMO Eve would not want to because I see Eve as too smart for Nick. I think Eve might have left with Trubel even if she did not go to back to HW.
