Some states call this "accessory before the fact," a lesser charge, but in Oregon it makes you a principle and subject to the same penalties as those who actually commit the crimes hands-on.
In a trial, Juliette's claim that she didn't know Kelly (and presumably, the neighbors) would be murdered would be evaluated by a jury, and if accepted would reduce the level of her liability from murder to manslaughter (in that she knew a crime would be committed, but not that it would be murder).
Face, what about after the fact? What about knowing of the heinous crime committed by her accomplishes/acquaintances and not reported to the proper authorities? When she neglected to get on the helicopter and came back to the house to confront Nick, she was well aware of what took place. A fact some contributors keep overlooking or deny. Wouldn't that fact of her neglecting her civic duty add to the charges?
Juliette; I didn't know Kenneth was going to do that.
Nick; She trusted you.
Juliette; I know. I thought they just wanted Diana.
Nick; You betrayed her!
Juliette; Do it, Nick. Kill me. Just do it. Do it. You can't put me out of your misery, huh? I hope you're not going to tell me you're still in love with me.
Nick; Get out.
Juliette; After everything I've done for you, you think that's how we're going to end it? You should have killed me when you had the chance.
Nick; I'm done fighting, Juliette.
Juliette; Maybe I still love you. Maybe that's something that just never goes away.
Nick; I'm done.
Juliette; I know. I wish I was. Goodbye, Nick.
Trubel; Goodbye, Juliette.
You know you are OLD, when you see the Slide Ruler you used in college selling in an ANTIQUE SHOP!!
